An exciting time in the lives of many young people has begun: Prospective students can now apply to Paderborn University for a Bachelor's or Master's degree programme to start in the winter semester 2025/26. With its wide range of degree programmes, the university offers a variety of prospects. From Chemistry, Computer Science and Sustainable Engineering to Popular Music and Media and Economics: The programmes on offer are as varied as they are individual. There is a large selection in the teaching profession with around 166 degree combinations. Many degree programmes also have international profiles, which open up career opportunities for graduates all over the world. As the search for the right degree programme can be challenging, the Central Student Advisory Service (ZSB) team offers various orientation events that provide an insight into the range of courses on offer, the campus and everyday student life. For example, the "Long Evening of Student Advice" will take place on Thursday, 26 June, from 4 to 7 p.m. in Building Q. Expanded range of degree programmes
From the winter semester 2025/26, there will be two new Master's degree programmes to choose from: German as a second language and German as a foreign language (DaZ/DaF) and Additive Manufacturing, i.e. 3D printing. In addition, the established degree programme "Mechanical Engineering" will now become "Sustainable Mechanical Engineering". The renaming reflects the long-standing focus on sustainability in the title of the degree programme. There is also news in the teaching degree programme: Students can study the subjects of technology and psychology for the teaching profession at various types of schools in the Bachelor's and Master's programmes.
