Federal Foundation "Mother and Child"
The Federal Foundation "Mother and Child" supports pregnant women in need, usually with one-off benefits. The foundation's funds are granted, for example, for the initial equipment of the child, children's furniture or household items. These grants are only possible if other social benefits are not sufficient or do not arrive in time. The amount of assistance depends on the personal situation of the pregnant woman, but also on the total number of applicants in need.
The application should be submitted early (preferably in the first months of pregnancy) to one of the following pregnancy counselling centres (not to the Federal Foundation itself).
