Want to speak German, English, Spanish, Japanese or Swedish without any grades or pressure to perform?
Then our language café is just right for you!

The language café offers an opportunity to exchange ideas with other language learners on interesting topics in informal conversations.

-Exchange on diverse and interesting topics
-Consolidation of oral language skills
-Discussions in small groups and in plenary
-Individualised design by the participants
-Free speaking to round off the session

The language café is aimed at anyone who wants to improve their language skills without any pressure to perform. No specific language level is required, but previous knowledge is helpful.

Japanese language café dates

This semester we are once again offering the Japanese language café. Here, language learners meet native speakers and talk about various topics in Japanese. Please bring snacks and drinks. Once a month we also organise a party where there is music and we put together a buffet. It is not necessary to book.

Swedish language café dates

The Swedish language café (Svensk fika) with Lena Berglind takes place on Tuesdays from 10.45-11.15 am during the semester.

Spanish language café dates

This semester, CharlaCafé will take place every Wednesday or Thursday. You can already sign up for the following sessions:

  • Thu, 23 October, 4–5 p.m., Room I3.301
  • Thu, 30 October, 4–6 p.m., Room I3.301 — Una noche en Castronegro (The Werewolves of Düsterwald)
  • Wed, 5 November, 4–5 p.m., Room I3.301
