OPEN Edirom

Overview

OPEN Edirom is a pilot project carried out at the KreativInstitut.OWL in cooperation with the Center for Music - Edition - Media (ZenMEM) of the University of Paderborn, the Academy of Sciences and Literature in Mainz, and NFDI4Culture. A stable and reusable workflow for open data publication and presentation of complex music philological data is being developed and tested. The content basis for the proof of concept is a particularly extensive and complex material tradition from the music theater, specifically the area of incidental music of the 19th century: music for Goethe's Faust in the theatrical arrangement by Carl Seydelmann with the corresponding music by Peter Joseph von Lindpaintner, premiered at the Stuttgart Court Theater in March 1832.
