Paul Hahn graduated from RWTH Aachen University with a degree in industrial engineering (Business Administration and Mechanical Engineering). He also studied for one semester each at NTNU in Trondheim (Norway) and KTH in Stockholm (Sweden). During his studies, he worked as a student assistant at the Institute of Structural Mechanics and Lightweight Design (SLA; RWTH). After completing his master's thesis at the Chair of Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate at the E.ON Energy Research Center (RWTH), he started working as a research assistant at the Chair of Management Information Systems & Operations Research (MISOR; Paderborn University) in October 2024, where he conducts research in the FlexLabQuartier project.
